Juventus have kicked off their Champions League campaign with a match against Dutch side PSV Eindhoven, and USMNT star Weston McKennie is playing a starring role with another goal in Europe.
And it couldn’t have got off to a better start, as Thiago Motta’s side took the lead through Kenan Yıldız after just 21 minutes.
The Bianconeri then doubled that lead, and it was USMNT star Weston McKennie that found the back of the net with a close-range header.
In doing so, the Juventus midfielder grabbed his fifth Champions League goal, overtaking DaMarcus Beasley in the list of US internationals that have scored the most in the prestigious European competition. Only Milan forward and USMNT captain Christian Pulisic has more with a total of eight.
In fact, McKennie has now scored in four different Champions League campaigns, and is becoming somewhat of a household name in Europe.
Can he add to his tally to rival Pulisic?
