A pair of Mikel Arteta’s squad have both been spotted back in first team training ahead of their trip to Bergamo to take on Atalanta in the Champions League.
Both Bukayo Saka, who limped off against Tottenham, and Riccardo Calafiori, who limped out of international duty with Italy, were among those present for the open training session before the Gunners fly to Italy.
However, there was concern as five more first team stars remained notably absent, including talismanic figure Martin Γdegaard, who was also a casualty over the international break.
Likewise, none of Oleksandr Zinchenko, Kieran Tierney, Mikel Merino or Takehiro Tomiyasu were present for the session, which will once again leave Mikel Arteta with some selection headaches as he looks to balance the clash with Atalanta and Sunday’s Premier League game against Manchester City.
