There was talk in the summer that Manchester United might let Christian Eriksen go.
In 1141 minutes of Premier League action during 2023/24, the Danish international scored just one goal.
That was, in truth, a poor return for a forward player, yet Eriksen stayed put in the summer.
Whatโs changed since then is unclear, but tonightโs Europa League clash with FC Twente has seen the Denmark international suggest heโs back to finding his best form.
Eriksen broke the deadlock after he smashed home a rocket of a shot from the corner of the penalty area into the opposite side of the net. He now has four goal contributions in his last three games for the club.
Christian Eriksen already has as many goal involvements this season as he managed across the whole of last season (4).
