Juventus have confirmed the signing of Atalanta midfielder Teun Koopmeiners in a deal representing a record fee for a Serie A midfielder.
The Old Lady had been chasing the Dutchman’s signature for several months, and Koopmeiners notably refrained from training with the Europa League winners to try to push the move through.
The 26-year-old midfielder has now penned an five-year contract in Turin, arriving in a deal worth a reported €52m upfront.
Koopmeiners is coming off the back of a fine individual season in Bergamo, where he scored 12 goals and grabbed five assists in 34 Serie A outings.
Additionally, he featured in all but one of Atalanta’s 2023-24 Europa League fixtures on route to the trophy registering two assists in the process.
