Two men from Sussex were killed in single-vehicle crash on Thursday.
A release from the RCMP, sent out Friday, said police were called around 1:45 a.m. Thursday to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 2 near Hay Settlement, about 15 kilometres south of Woodstock.
The vehicle was travelling eastbound and police say they believe the driver lost control and went into the ditch.
A 45-year-old man from Sussex died on scene from his injuries, according to the RCMP release, and a 43-year-old, also from Sussex, was transported to hospital where he then died as a result of his injuries.
The release also said police “have reason to believe that a third person may have been in the vehicle at the time of the crash and has yet to be identified.”
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or who has “dash-cam footage, or if you have information that could help further the investigation” to contact the Western Valley detachment or Crime Stoppers.
