The 2024 Presidents Cup opens tomorrow morning at Royal Montreal in Quebec, Canada with five four-ball matches, where two pairs will compete head-to-head in best-ball formats. Friday and Saturday will follow foursomes play though. And Sunday will be 12 traditional singles matches. On Wednesday afternoon, team captains Jim Furyk and Mike Weir selected their pairing for Thursday’s four-ball matches.
The Americans have won nine straight Presidents Cups dating back to 2003, when the Americans tied 17-17 with the international team. Their dominance doesn’t end there though. They’ve won 12 of the 14 Presidents Cups, only tying in 2003 and losing in 1998 in Melbourne, Australia.
This year’s U.S. team will be tough to take down yet again, featuring some of the world’s best, including Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa, and Scottie Scheffler. The international team is no slouch either though, with stars like Jason Day, Hideki Matsuyama, and Adam Scott on their side. Here is when each team will tee off on Thursday.
