11 Cassiere (Bet Now: $6.00) looks a filly that has an engine under the hood. Former Kiwi that made her Australian debut over 1110m at Doomben where she got a fair way out of her ground but made up super ground in a strong first up effort behind Payline. Fitter and up in trip, bigger track, she takes beating I say.
Danger
4 Cigar Flick (Bet Now: $3.30) can be hit and miss at times but she does have a touch of quality about her. Let down with purpose to win at Rosehill two back before taking on decent sprinters at Canterbury where she was far from disgraced in defeat behind Jedibeel. Back to her own age/sex, she appeals for sure.
Long Shot
9 Navyonthehighway (Bet Now: $6.50) could be a jet. Keen to see how she goes here for Chris Munce. 2/2 to start her career, bolting up on debut at the Sunshine Coast before going to Doomben where she sat on speed again before being clicked up and away she went, drawing clear to win well. Lands on speed again you’d imagine and confident she measures up.

1 Depth Of Character (Bet Now: $2.25) is a colt I have time for and I am sure connections are desperate to get a Stakes win. He ran two weeks ago in the Oxlade where he was similar to his debut. Very raw and new to the caper but he kept finding the line and was quite good in defeat behind Megastar Heart. He’ll love getting to 1400m and hopefully with room to move, he’ll take holding out.
Danger
5 Heinous (Bet Now: $4.60) should appreciate a rise to 1400m for Jason Warren. She was off a break when racing in the Oxlade a fortnight back. She got back to near last in the run and while she was never a winning threat, her finale was more than sound in defeat in a good effort behind Megastar Heart. Fitter and up in trip, hard to beat if she can settle closer.
Long Shot
6 Miss Trustful (Bet Now: $7.00) should appreciate getting to 1400m. This filly was a strong winner at Beaudesert two back before backing up a week later in The Phoenix when running an honest race but 1500m was just a bridge too far behind Imperialist. Like her back in trip and overall, this isn’t a deep race.

1 Go Wandji (Bet Now: $14.00) is sneaky flying for Tom Dougall and rates highly. He comes through the Hinkler from a fortnight back where he got back to near last in the run and while he was never really a winning threat, he did make up good ground and was strong in defeat behind Willinga Beast. If he can get a drag into the race, he’s dangerous.
Danger
12 Nashira (Bet Now: $9.50) is a leading contender for the O’Dea/Hoysted camp, who I must say have had a very quiet Carnival. This guy was thrown in the deep end when contesting the Hinkler two weeks ago and he didn’t disgrace himself at all when close up in defeat behind Willinga Beast. If he runs up to that effort here, he’ll take beating.
Long Shot
15 Safework (Bet Now: $46.00) is a knockout chance. He ran three weeks back at Eagle Farm over 1200m where he got off the speed and was never really threatening when down the track behind Hidden Wealth. That was his first run in a month so with room for improvement, he can prove to be a knockout hope at odds.

8 Moscini (Bet Now: $12.00) has run well in the previous two editions of this race and I think he’s the each way speck. Lumped 61.5kg to win a Qualifier at Burrandowan, beating a metro performer in Fire King, so that form clearly reads well for a Non TAB. Maps to get a beaut run off the genuine speed and has good weight relief. He’ll do me.
Danger
12 Jack Be Lucky (Bet Now: $6.50) rates highly. Dominant win two back at Jandowae before having a prep run over 1100m at Ipswich where he was quite good in defeat from off the speed when fourth to a metro class mare, Black On Beauty. Loves the 1200m, hard fit and in form, he appeals for sure.
Long Shot
15 Masterplan (Bet Now: $7.50) won’t know himself with 52kg on his back given he regularly carries 60kg+. He last raced at the Sunny Coast over 1200m when leading and actually stuck on well enough in defeat with the 62.5kg impost behind Thunder Mania. Tumbles in weight for this, good racing style and I am sure will give cheek on speed.

4 Princess Rhaenys (Bet Now: $2.15) looks as though she has been set for this race and does have sense of timing whereas some of these look tired. She won over 1800m here three weeks ago, where she got into a dream spot under J Mac before angling into clear air, knuckled down and was much too good in a strong win. Narrow second in this race last year, I think she is going better 12 months on and should take beating.
Danger
2 Thalassophile (Bet Now: $3.20) arguably should have won this race last year and she’s looking for redemption. She ran three weeks ago over the mile in the National Classic where she got back to near last in the run and spotted those in front too much head start but really liked the way she finished her race off behind La Crique. Up in trip, hard to beat if she can settle closer.
Long Shot
10 Pleadeel (Bet Now: $301.00) is eligible for a Monday at Warwick really with her rating, but I do think she has staying talent for Michael Morrison. She ran over 2200m at the Sunny Coast last time and was there to win the race but just found one better in Ring Me Up. I highly doubt she wins, but some of these are looking for the paddock/breeding barn, where she has upside/improvement.

1 Vow And Declare (Bet Now: $6.50) appeals for Danny O’Brien. He ran in The Q22 where he found dry ground and ran an improved race, but was no match for the finale of impressive winner and potential Caulfield Cup contender Fawkner Park. Dry ground is key so if this track can remain on the firm side, he is hard to beat.
Danger
11 Almairac (Bet Now: $7.00) is the interesting runner. Cliff Brown trained gelding that earned his way into the Provincial Final last week via a spank job win in a Heat at the Sunny Coast over 2200m where he was on speed throughout before being clicked up by Duric and away he went to gap his rivals. But, he was scratched from that and instead runs here in a much harder race…a sign of confidence?
Long Shot
12 Encoder (Bet Now: $17.00) is on the seven day back up for Lee Freedman after racing last Saturday in the Ipswich Cup where he got a fair way out of his ground but really liked his finale in defeat behind Red Wave. He’ll love getting back to 2400m at Eagle Farm, he’ll be strong late…not dismissing.

4 Charterhouse (Bet Now: $7.00) for me. Ciaron Maher trained gelding that ran two weeks ago in the Wayne Wilson. I am not sure he was entirely suited at WFA but he ran a very credible race in defeat behind Freedom Rally, beaten 2.4L. He was only second up there so he has room for improvement and back to a handicap, he appeals.
Danger
5 Iknowastar (Bet Now: $3.50) will jump on the bunny and take running down. He attempted to lead throughout in the Wayne Wilson a fortnight back and tried his guts out from the front but just found one better in Freedom Rally. Looks the leader and if there is petrol left in the tank, he takes beating.
Long Shot
1 Cepheus (Bet Now: $15.00) can run an improved race for Matty Dunn. He comes through the Stradbroke when resuming. He was wide throughout and that hard run at that level just told late in the piece, finishing down the track behind Stef Magnetica. Up in trip, firm deck, back miles in grade/depth, he is a big improver.

The jockey booking is scary but if 1 Bella Nipotina (Bet Now:$5.00 SPECIAL ODDS) holds her form, she just wins. I think she has claims to being the best sprinter in Australia in terms of consistency at the highest level and on the road, not just in one area. She tried her guts out in the Stradbroke but the weight pull between her and Stefi Magnetica was the difference, as well as the all time steer from Zac Lloyd. She’s just better than these surely.
Danger
2 Semana (Bet Now: $16.00) looks to have been set for the race and is very dangerous. Trial indicated that the Stradbroke would be a barrier trial for this and that was how it panned out, but I really liked the way she found the line late in the piece behind Stefi Magnetica. Back to Mares grade, fitter, can settle much closer…hard to beat.
Long Shot
15 Roll On High (Bet Now: $11.00) has been up forever it seems like but she is in a purple patch. She really caught the eye when letting down to win the Fred Best before going to the Stradbroke where she ran a beauty from near last on the turn, albeit was never threatening behind Stefi Magnetica. If she can get a drag into the race and be within range, she can take this out.

14 Iowna Merc… (Bet Now: $7.00) gee he is nearing D-Day and is getting close to joining the Milk Drinker Academy. He looked all over a winner three weeks ago in the Bob Charley when looming but he couldn’t quite get there when second to Mnementh. Third up now and hard fit, if he brings his best, he likely wins.
Danger
12 Tashi (Bet Now: $9.00) comes here with fresh legs for Team Snowden, having not raced since the Takeover Target at Newcastle on May 11 when not 100% happy on the bog, as well as the track pattern, but she did find the line and was good in defeat behind Semillion. Looks well suited here on a firmer deck and the camp are desperate to get a Stakes win.
Long Shot
I think you can make a case for 13 Deepour (Bet Now: $27.00), who is second up here for Adam Campton and I dare say has eyes on a race like the Ramornie at Grafton. He was a real eye catcher fresh in the Lightning over 1000m and his late splits were outstanding. Fitter and up to 1200m, he only runs well.
