Go back to T Higgins for a second.
Doesn’t it feel like trading tea at this point would be sort of a disaster?
I mean, if you’re the Bengals.
Well, yeah, you could have gotten more for him before you did nothing.
You brought him back, your team starts slow.
Your offense is starting to click and now you’re basically saying, no, we’re gonna go get whatever we can left for this player, like the egg on the face for the Bengals for mishandling.
It just feels like that would be too much to bear.
Yeah, clearly the, I think dealing him in the off season was the move.
That was the time to do it.
Um, but I, I think it’s a bigger disaster because you saw what the offense turned into when he was on the field.
All of a sudden, you’re like, whoa, now, now I see this is the Bengals offense.
I remember now, granted the backfield has something to do, you know, Chase Brown suddenly becoming, um, you know, like a, a poor man’s version of a young Alvin Kamara is, is pretty amazing for the, for the Bengals in that respect.
So again, bringing up T Higgins.
I want to underline this and I swear to God if you guys clip T Higgins and you leave this part out, I’m gonna lose my mind.
I’m telling you right now.
T Higgins is the guy you make the call on and, and basically just say to the Bengals, we don’t think you’re gonna pay him.
So let’s have a realistic conversation about it.
Now, the Bengals response to that could be, we’re not taking this guy from Borough, we’re not gonna do it this year and we still have some kind of optimism that we can figure something out.
Um, and, and potentially extend him in the off season or if we have to, we’ll put the tag on him again and then deal him um next off season.
So I think it’s more the disaster is taking him away from Burrow at this point.
I think if, if you’re bough you’d be pissed because you go, ok, well, you’re, you’re casting us out of this season for sure.
And you’re basically waving the white flag on trying to keep together this tandem of wide receivers and I’m looking elsewhere and somehow the, you know, I, I see other teams that have kept together expensive tandems, Devonta Smith and, and AJ Brown are both in Philly.
Why can’t we figure out how to keep two high level guys that could both be number ones
