Late last month, the Philadelphia Flyers sent prospect Jett Luchanko back to the Guelph Storm for the remainder of the season. This was after the 2024 first-round pick played in four games with the Flyers.
It was easy to understand why the Flyers moved Luchanko back to junior, as he was not getting consistent playing time with the NHL squad. Now, he is playing in a far more significant role with the Storm, and he is starting to thrive because of it.
In the Storm’s most recent matchup against the London Knights, Luchanko has a spectacular performance, posting four assists in Guelph’s 8-7 loss.
Seeing Luchanko put together an excellent performance like this is immensely encouraging. He is one of the Flyers’ most promising prospects, and a game like this effectively demonstrates that. He now has two goals and eight points in six games with Guelph this season.
