Luton Town will be without Reece Burke for their Championship match at Norwich on Saturday after the defender suffered another injury setback.
The 28-year-old missed the first four games of the season but has featured in nine of the Hatters’ subsequent league matches, only to be forced off after 45 minutes of their 3-0 defeat by Leeds on Wednesday with a quad injury.
“It’s a tough one to take because he’s a really key player for us,” Luton head coach Rob Edwards told BBC Three Counties Radio.
“If he’s fit and available, we want to be able to play him, but he’s been out for a while, and trying to manage his game time and minutes is very, very challenging.
“Hopefully, he’s not out for long, and we’ve caught it before it’s anything too serious.”
Midfielder Liam Walsh will also miss the trip to Carrow Road because of a hamstring problem, which kept him out of the loss to Leeds, while Rob Edwards has confirmed he does not expect to have Alfie Doughty back until the new year.
