Here is the latest news and buzz surrounding the Jets’ search for a new general manager…

The latest candidate to interview for the Jets’ vacant GM job was Jim Nagy.

Nagy has been the executive director of the Senior Bowl since 2018, and runs its football and business operations.

He also has experience as a scout, having worked in that capacity in the NFL for 18 years, including stints with the Packers, Seahawks, Commanders, Patriots, and Chiefs.

Dec. 17, 3:37 p.m.

The Jets announced that they have completed an interview with former Tennessee Titans general manager Jon Robinson.

The 48-year-old worked in the front office for New England and Tampa Bay before becoming Titans GM in 2016 — a position he held until late in the 2022 season.

Under Robinson’s leadership, the Titans drafted key players like Derrick Henry, A.J. Brown, and Jeffery Simmons, and traded for quarterback Ryan Tannehill, all of whom helped the Titans reach the AFC Championship Game following the 2019 regular season.

Robinson has not worked for an NFL team since he and the Titans parted ways.

The Jets have officially begun interviewing candidates for the vacant GM role, with the club announcing they have interviewed Thomas Dimitroff.

Dimitroff was the Atlanta Falcons’ GM from 2008-2020, and was the New England Patriots’ director of college scouting from 2003-07.

Named NFL Executive of the Year in 2008 and 2010, Dimitroff led the Falcons as they drafted stars like Matt Ryan and Julio Jones, and saw his team play in Super Bowl LI.

The search for the Jets’ next general manager is about to kick into gear.

The Jets will begin interviewing GM candidates this week, with former Tennessee Titans GM Jon Robinson among those being considered, according to multiple reports.

After spending time with the Patriots’ and Buccaneers’ front offices, Robinson became the Titans’ GM in 2016, making the playoffs four times in his six-plus seasons. He was eventually fired in December 2022.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that ESPN analyst Louis Riddick is also a candidate. Riddick, a former NFL player, has previously led the player personnel departments for both Washington and Philadelphia, and has been a hot name for GM openings over the past few years.
