TORONTO (June 6, 2019) – CTV unveiled today its Fall 2019 primetime schedule, featuring a unique mix of compelling new series and the beloved returning hits that have helped CTV maintain its unrivalled record of success as Canada’s most-watched television network for the past 18 years. CTV’s fall lineup features strong female leads across new and returning programs, and a slate of dynamic dramas that will keep Canadians on the edge of their seats, and a hot new Wednesday night filled with this year’s most buzzed-about new series. Mike Cosentino, Bell Media’s President of Content and Programming, is set to present the 2019/20 schedule today at the #CTVUpfront in Toronto.
CTV’s 2019/20 schedule has been carefully curated to offer a variety of programs for key demographics, using the same expertise that has been the hallmark of the network’s success and has led to CTV delivering the #1 new program of the year for the past nine consecutive seasons.

Adding to the likes of GREY’S ANATOMY, STATION 19, and THE CONNERS, CTV’s slate of new programming features a multitude of prominent female protagonists, including Smulders (STUMPTOWN), Jessica Alba and Gabrielle Union (LA’S FINEST), Simone Missick (ALL RISE), Folake Olowofoyeku (BOB HEARTS ABISHOLA), Allison Tolman (EMERGENCE), and Brittany Snow (ALMOST FAMILY).
Dramatic Storylines
Canada’s #1 drama, THE GOOD DOCTOR, headlines a schedule that features five dramas that ranked in the Top 10 most-watched programs last year. The addition of dramas such as STUMPTOWN, ALL RISE, EMERGENCE, and ALMOST FAMILY boost CTV’s primetime dramas this season to 13 hours in simulcast.
All-New Wednesdays
Wednesdays on CTV feature three consecutive hours of new programming to get Canadians over the mid-week hump. The evening kicks off with the TV phenomenon THE MASKED SINGER, followed by ALMOST FAMILY. Wednesdays are capped off with the much buzzed-about and new U.S. series frontrunner, STUMPTOWN.

As the exclusive television broadcast partner of the NFL in Canada, Bell Media continues to deliver games in all of the league’s broadcast windows across CTV, CTV2, TSN, and RDS. With the league celebrating its historic 100th season this fall, CTV delivers NFL Sunday games at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., with SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL and THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL available on CTV2. CTV also brings viewers complete coverage of the NFL playoffs, including SUPER BOWL LIV live from Miami.
News
CTV News continues to be Canada’s most-watched news organization, delivering a total of 740 hours of original news production each week with a distinctly Canadian perspective.
