MIAMI — FIU women’s tennis student-athlete Oyinlomo Quadre earned a selection as the Conference USA (CUSA) Scholar Athlete of the Year for women’s tennis, as announced on Friday afternoon.
Quadre, who was previously named the Spirit of Service winner for women’s tennis by CUSA, now adds Scholar Athlete of the Year to a litany of conference honors.
The Lagos, Nigeria native builds on an impressive resume which includes multiple First Team All-CUSA honors, CUSA Player of the Year and Tournament selections and qualification for the NCAA Championships in both singles and doubles. Quadre is a rising junior majoring in psychology and holds a 3.56 GPA.
The awards, voted on by the conference’s nine FARs, are presented to the top student-athletes in each conference-sponsored sport based on academic achievement (GPA), athletic achievement and service.
