Jada Brown is one of the rising senior playmakers for the Richmond Hill Lady Wildcats’ basketball team.
Brown has been utilized in multiple different positions and roles during her time for the Lady ‘Cats, and her senior year looks to be much of the same, due to her versatility.
That ability allowed Brown to become a ‘Top Performer’ at the “Wildcat Shootout”, known as the ‘Biggest High School Event of the Summer’ in the area.
“Being recognized as a top performer at the Wildcat Shootout is very big for me, especially considering I was only there for one day,” Brown said. “It also shows that my hard work has been paying off.”
Brown and the rest of the Lady Wildcats made the short trip down to Camden County High School in Kingsland, Georgia, to compete in the showcase.
“There were four different gyms, and we played at three of them,” Brown said. “I was one of the starting five in each of our games on Thursday.
“I was all over the court, even ended up running the floor at point guard at times, for many parts of the games.”
As the team will have to replace two senior starters from last season, who both signed to play college level basketball, Brown is pleased with what the team has been able to do so far.
“I honestly feel like our team is doing great,” Brown said. “The team did really well on Friday, without having myself, my sister (Emari) and Cullen (McCormick) there, they still played well.
“I am very excited to see what the season will bring to this team!”
