Bautista-Agut – Fognini: 05.07.2024 12:00 CEST
H2H: 3-9
Roberto Bautista-Agut has won four of his last five matches. Last week in Mallorca, Agut reached the quarterfinals where he lost against Gaël Monfils in three sets. Here at Wimbledon, Roberto won his first round match against Marterer in easy straight sets. Agut offered and saved only one breakpoint. In the second round, Bautista won against Lorenzo Sonego in four tight sets. This time, Agut scored 12 breakpoints, but played great under pressure and saved 10 of them. Last year at Wimbledon, Agut lost in the first round against Safiullin.
Fabio Fognini has won three of his last five matches. Last week in Mallorca, Fognini reached the 1/8-Finals where he lost against Mensik in three sets. That was also his first grass court tournament of the season. Here at Wimbledon, Fognini defeated van Assche in the first round. Fabio was great under pressure, saving 10/11 breakpoints. It was overall a solid performance from Fognini. In the second round, Fabio defeated Ruud in four sets as we predicted. Last year, Fabio did not play any grass court matches. In 2022 at Wimbledon, Fognini lost in the first round against Griekspoor.
According to the bookies, Agut is the favorite in this matchup. Fabio has played two great matches so far in the tournament. Both players have played solidly so far. Both of them do not prefer the grass court surface. However, we believe that Fognini has a decent chance in this matchup.
That being said, Fognini covering the games handicap is a value bet.

Last year at Wimbledon, Paul reached the third round where he lost against Lehecka in five sets.
Alexander Bublik has won three of his last five matches. Two weeks ago in Eastbourne, Bublik lost his first match against Vukic in straight sets. Before that, Bublik reached the 1/8-Finals in Halle where he lost against Eubanks in three tight sets. According to the bookies, Paul is the favorite in this matchup. He did not look dominant in the second round. Bublik had a great second round performance, and we believe that he could go deep at Wimbledon this year.
That being said, Bublik winning is a value bet.
