Australian Alex De Minaur, the No 9 seed, advanced to the fourth round of Wimbledon after French qualifier Lucas Pouille withdrew before their match at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club on Saturday.
De Minaur, ranked No 9, will play the winner of the match between Frenchman Arthur Fils and Russian Roman Safiullin next.
In the previous rounds of tournament, the Australian defeated lucky loser James Duckworth (7-6 (1), 7-6 (3), 7-6 (4)) and Spaniard Jaume Munar (6-2, 6-2, 7-5).
Pouille, ranked No 212 in the world, won against Serb Laslo Djere (3-6, 7-6 (4), 3-6, 6-3, 6-1) and Australian Thanasi Kokkinakis (2-6, 7-5, 5-2 ret.) in the main draw after winning three matches in the qualifying event.
