A living legend of Indian cricket, Virat Kohli, is an inspiration to millions around the country as well as the world. A boy from the state of West Bengal, belonging to the 11th class, is making headlines for his style of cricketing similar to that of King Kohli.
The young man is named Arijit Guha Roy, a resident of Bankura town, who considers Virat Kohli his guru. One can see his devotion to the man and the sport, from the various posters and images he has plastered across the walls of his room.
As per the reports of Local18, Arijit started to play the sport when he was in class 1, as a student of Vivekananda Shiksha Niketan High School, Puabagan village, Bankura. At the moment, he is a student at Bankura Zilla School.
As Arijit grew, his love for cricket became stronger and he was selected for the under-17 school Bengal team. After he was selected, he went through a little trouble as he had some difficulty in playing with swinging balls. However, this year he has high hopes for himself and aims to return home as a champion of the school Bengal team.

In a conversation with Local18, Arijit talked about his love for Virat Kohli and his selection in the under-17 team. He stated, “My inspiration is Virat Kohli. So, I try to learn his attitude and batting style.” Speaking further he continued, “It is a matter of great pride for me to be selected in the school Bengal team. My hard work paid off.”
Arijit’s father and mother expressed their pride in their son’s remarkable achievements in cricket, wanting him to continue in the sport. His father Arindam Guha Roy, stated, “Arijit continues to play cricket along with his studies. And he wants to grow up and move forward with cricket.”
