Larne have signed teenage right-sided player Josh Seary on loan from Preston North End until 12 January and have also snapped up midfielder George Marsh following his departure from AEL Limassol.
Seary, 19, who can operate at right back or right wing back, has made four appearances for the English Football League club in the Championship and played one game in the EFL Cup.
The Republic of Ireland under-19 international also had a loan spell at Warrington Town during the 2022-23 season, making 19 league appearances and a further in the FA Cup.
News of Seary’s arrival came hot on the heels of confirmation that central defender Sam Todd had joined the Invermen on loan from Derry City until New Year’s Day.
Later on Tuesday it was revealed that Marsh, 25, had also been added to the east Antrim club’s ranks.
Marsh is a product of the Tottenham Hotspur academy, a club he went on to represent at senior level during his time in North London.
Following a spell on loan at Leyton Orient, he moved to AFC Wimbledon, making more than 60 appearances across two seasons at the Dons, before a move to Cyprus materialised last summer.
“Josh is another player we are delighted to add to our group,” said Larne manager Tiernan Lynch.
“He is someone with a lot of potential and has been in and around things with Preston’s first team squad.
“Coming here allows Josh to continue his development, while adding strength to our own panel for the first half of the season ahead.”
Lynch said of Marsh: “We feel George will add quality to our squad”.
“He’s coming to us at a good age for a player in his position and with almost 100 appearances in the English Football League we feel he will be well placed to deal with the rigours of Irish League football.”
