Amanda Balionis has been enjoying herself in Las Vegas and taking time for herself, with her latest Instagram post alluding to the fact that she is living her best life
Amanda Balionis is enjoying her time away from golf if her latest post on social media is any indication.
In a nine-photo carousel she posted to her Instagram, is seen living it up in Las Vegas with her friends, which included two photos with Rachel Morris, the associate head coach of volleyball at Indiana. “I’ll bet on us every time,” Balionis captioned her carousel.
Along with photos of her and friends enjoying their time in “Sin City,” reporter Balionis also added a poignant quote at the end of her carousel. The quote centers around being open to all avenues in which one can learn important lessons in life.

“Learn to enjoy summer, that wonderful warm time when everything is in full bloom,” the quote began from Melody Beattie’s “Journey to the Heart.” “Summer isn’t forever, but don’t ruin it by fussing. Forget about the winter just past, the autumn that lies ahead. Immerse yourself in the food times, the fullness of summertime.
“We may have gotten so used to the other times, the colder times, that we’ve forgotten how to enjoy the sun, the warmth, the play times. The good times. Each moment of our lives is important. Each moment of our lives is a spiritual experience. To live fully in joy, we need to learn to enjoy the good times as well as weather the storms.
“Most of us are proficient at hunkering down and getting through the winters of our lives. Now, it’s time to learn something different. Take off your heavy wraps. Grab your straw hat and go bask in the sun. Tomorrow’s lessons will take care of themselves.”
Although Balionis is one of the sport’s more recognizable presenters and reporters, her profile grew exponentially when rumors spread about her having a potential relationship with PGA Tour star Rory McIlroy. Around the same time McIlroy first filed for divorce from his wife Erica Stoll, rumors circulated of a potential romance between Balionis and McIlroy.
At one point, Balionis removed “Renner” from all her social media platforms. “Renner” is the name of her husband, Bryn Renner, a former NFL quarterback who was caught in the crossfire amid rumors of a McIlroy and Balionis relationship.
Additionally, eagle-eyed fans noticed Balionis no longer wears her ring whenever she was on camera, further adding fuel to the fire. That said, US Weekly reported that McIlroy and Balionis’ relationship was strictly professional, despite how the two interacted with one another on screen.
Since then, McIlroy reversed his decision to divorce the mother of his three-year-old daughter and released a statement explaining how he and Stoll are committed to repairing any damage done. “Over the past weeks, Erica and I have realized that our best future was as a family together. Thankfully, we have resolved our differences and look forward to a new beginning,” his statement read, per The Guardian.
There was never any concrete evidence to suggest Balionis and McIlroy were in a romantic relationship, with the latter saying: “Responding to each rumor is a fool’s game.”
Balionis is currently nearing the end of a break, spending time in Las Vegas after the Rocket Mortgage Classic. She is expected to be back on our TV screens this weekend, covering the John Deere Classic in Silvis, Illinois.
