Apple Vision Pro has now gone international. As well as going on sale in China, Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore (on June 28), Apple has just opened pre-orders for five more places: Canada, Germany, France, Australia and the U.K. Here’s all you need to know.
It’s not long to wait. The headset will go on sale on Friday, July 12 in all five countries, and customers can now book a 30-minute demo. Referring to the U.K. pre-orders, Apple says: “Starting today, customers can visit the Apple Store online to book a personal one-on-one demo of Apple Vision Pro, available at Apple Store locations in the U.K. beginning Friday, July 12. Apple team members will help customers find the best fit and get set up. Customers will also have the chance to explore the range of capabilities of spatial computing, from groundbreaking entertainment experiences to an infinite canvas for favorite apps, and so much more.”
You can order online and there’s a specialist service available via chat or phone. “When customers order Apple Vision Pro, they will use an iPhone or iPad with Face ID and the latest version of the Apple Store app to complete a face scan. This scan helps users find the optimal Light Seal and head band sizes to provide a precise fit. For users who require vision correction, Apple partnered with ZEISS to develop ZEISS Optical Inserts that magnetically attach to Vision Pro, allowing users to take full advantage of the display’s incredible sharpness and clarity,” Apple explained.
The company has also been keen to promote the Vision Pro App Store which now has more than 2,000 apps available, along with over 1.5 million compatible iOS and iPad apps, not to mention “even more apps on Mac using Mac Virtual Display that work seamlessly alongside one another.”
In the U.K., the Vision Pro will be available at all Apple Store locations. It will come with visionOS 1.2.
In the U.K., this will goes from £3,499, in Canada $4,999, in Australia $5,999 while in France and Germany the price starts at 3,999€. Zeiss Optical Inserts will cost £99 in the U.K., and prescription inserts £149.
