Ipswich Town’s return to the Premier League has not been plain sailing as the only team with no wins from their opening 10 games.
But that could all be about to change for Kieran McKenna’s side after they took a two-goal lead in the first half of Sunday’s encounter with Tottenham.
Sammie Szmodics and Liam Delap delivered the goods for the Tractor Boys in north London as they seek a first top-flight victory since April 2002.
It’s also ominous news for Spurs as they trail against a newly-promoted side for the first time in more than two decades.
Tottenham have gone 2-0 down at home to a promoted side in the Premier League for the first time since April 2003 (vs Manchester City).
