Tabilo – Monfils: 28.06.2024 15:30 CEST
H2H: first meeting
Alejandro Tabilo has won three of his last five matches. Last week in London, Tabilo lost against Tommy Paul in straight sets. That was also his first grass court tournament of the season. Here in Mallorca, Tabilo absolutely dominated against Shevchenko. In the quarterfinals, Tabilo won against Mensik in straight sets as we predicted. Even though he is a big server, and has a huge forehand, Tabilo finds it hard playing on grass courts. Last season, Tabilo played only one match on grass, which was at Wimbledon. He lost there in the first qualifying round against Herbert.
Gaël Monfils has won three of his last five matches. This is the first grass court tournament of the season for Gael. Before that, the last time Gael played on grass was in 2021 at Wimbledon, where he lost in the second round against Martinez. So far in Mallorca, Monfils has won both of his matches in straight sets. In the first round, Monfils defeated Thiem 6-3 7-6. After that, in the second round, Gael defeated Carballes Baena 6-3 6-4, while saving the only breakpoint he offered. In the quarterfinals, Monfils defeated Bautista-Agut in three tight sets. It was overall a low-quality match.
According to the bookies, this should be a 50-50 match. Tabilo had finally found his rhythm, and he played a great quarterfinal match. Monfils looked tired by the end of the match. We believe that Tabilo is more rested, and that he will win comfortably against Monfils.
That being said, Tabilo winning is a value bet.

Jubb – Ofner: 28.06.2024 18:00 CEST
H2H: first meeting
Paul Jubb has won five straight matches. Last week in London, Jubb lost in the qualifying tournament against McDonald in straight sets. Here in Mallorca, Paul fought through the qualifying tournament by winning both matches in straight sets. In the first round of the main draw, Jubb defeated Marterer in two easy sets. In the second round, Jubb dominated from the very start against Walton and won the match in straight sets as we predicted. Today, in the quarterfinals, Jubb won against Ben Shelton as we predicted. Paul even had to save one match point in the deciding set.
Sebastian Ofner has lost three of his last five matches. Last week in Halle, Ofner lost in the first round against Zhang. Here in Mallorca, Ofner had a solid first round performance, winning against Munar in three tight sets. In the second round, Sebastian defeated Darderi in straight sets. Today, in the quarterfinals, Michelsen could not get the job done as we thought, and Ofner defeated him after he was set down. Ofner was great under pressure, saving 8/9 breakpoints. Sebastian never had any remarkable results on grass courts.
According to the bookies, Jubb is the slight underdog in this matchup. He is playing great tennis, and we will back him up yet again. Ofner struggled a lot throughout the tournament, and we believe that he should not be the favorite in this matchup.
That being said, Jubb winning is a value bet.
