Former world No 1 Caroline Wozniacki advanced to the last eight of the Bad Homburg Open by winning against Russian Veronika Kudermetova 6-2, 6-4 at the Bod Homburg vor der Höhe on Wednesday.
Wozniacki, ranked No 112, will play No 3 seed Emma Navarro next.
The 33-year-old Dane edged out Ukrainian Elina Svitolina, the No 7 seed (6-3, 6-7 (4), 7-5) in the previous round of the Bad Homburg tournament.
In the previous round of the Bad Homburg tournament, Kudermetova, ranked No 36, defeated French qualifier Diane Parry (3-6, 7-5, 6-1).
