Big Cedar Nature Golf will debut a new course in summer 2025 that showcases nature in the Ozarks.
Cliffhangers, an 18-hole, par-3 course, will become the sixth golf course to join Big Cedar Lodge’s repertoire in Ridgedale. Bass Pro Shops CEO Johnny Morris opened the resort’s first golf course in 1996.
“Morris and his team have high expectations for Cliffhangers to follow suit when it comes to recognitions and events,” the website says. “Cliffhangers will become a bucket-list item for anyone who loves the game of golf or the natural environment and beauty of the Ozarks.”

Cliffhangers will include drastic elevation changes, large and small targets, tucked pins, severe slopes and movement on the greens. The course will run adjacent to Tiger Woods’ Payne Valley and feature views of the Ozark Mountains and waterfalls.
The resort’s other courses have been engineered by Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Tom Watson, Tom Fazio, Gary Player, Bill Coore, Ben Crenshaw and Tiger Woods.
