Kelowna will host the 2025 Canadian Country Music Awards.
“Kelowna’s blend of natural beauty, vibrant culture, and hospitality makes it the perfect setting for this prestigious event. The city’s unique charm, complemented by its urban energy, will showcase the best in Canadian country music,” Amy Jeninga, president of the Canadian Country Music Association, said in a Tuesday release.
The awards have only been held in B.C. twice before, and have never been staged in Kelowna.
“The city’s country music scene is a vibrant part of our community, and we look forward to showcasing our thriving cultural scene, and world class hospitality, while welcoming some of Canada’s most talented country artists,” Mayor Tom Dyas said in the release.
Established in 1976, the CCMA is a non-profit organization that “celebrates the spirit, community, and creativity fostered by country music,” the association says.
This year’s awards are being held in Edmonton.
