A sports bar that started out west and is working its way across the country has found a home in Mississauga.
The Canadian Brewhouse is now open at 3015 Argentia Road.
At the site of the former Buffalo Wild Wings, the Canadian Brewhouse prides itself on being “a uniquely Canadian-themed sports bar” that offers a wide variety of menu items including appetizers, entrees and specials, 30 different kinds of beer, as well as providing a vibrant nightlife option for the community.
The restaurant will also feature a patio for those warmer months.
“We think we provide a unique atmosphere,” explained Graham Last, vice president of marketing for the company. “This location is very large and gives us an opportunity to showcase a lot of Canadiana in terms of decorations and memorabilia. It’s a place to watch the big game — or any game — as we have 50 big-screen TVs. There will always be something happening.”
Special guests are also apt to drop in from time to time. Broadcaster and former NHL player Jeff O’Neill is scheduled to make an appearance in the weeks ahead.
The Mississauga location will be open seven days a week, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. on weekdays and 11: a.m. to 2 a.m. on weekends. Families with children are welcome until 8 p.m.
Menu items are typically what you would find at a pub or roadhouse so there are plenty of options such as burgers, wraps, fish and chips, chicken wings, stir fry, mac and cheese, pizza, poutine, perogies, dips, soups, salads and desserts. Take-out is also available
Since opening its first location in Edmonton in 2002, The Canadian Brewhouse has rapidly expanded across the country. The Mississauga location is the 48th venue and the newest in the chain.
