Simone Inzaghi is set to ring the changes to his starting lineup when Serie A side Inter host Red Star Belgrade at the Giuseppe Meazza on Tuesday night.
The Nerazzurri boss has been repeatedly rotating his ranks since the restart after the international break, a strategy that yielded mixed results thus far.
So According to Sky Sport Italia, the 48-year-old will be resting several key players, as he believes he’d still have enough quality on the field to shrug aside the Serbian giants who often struggle on the European stage.
Yann Sommer will preserve his place in goal while Benjamin Pavard and Stefan de Vrij return to the starting lineup replacing Yann Bisseck and Francesco Acerbi. For his part, Alessandro Bastoni will keep his spot on the left of the three-man backline.
On the wings, Matteo Darmian and Federico Dimarco will make way for Denzel Dumfries and Carlos Augusto.
In the middle of the park, Piotr Zielinski will return to the lineup for the first time since the previous Champions League contest against Manchester City. He will join Hakan Calhanoglu and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, while Nicolo Barella remains out with an injury.
But the most noticeable change is upfront, with Mehdi Taremi and Marko Arnautovic starting instead of Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram.
Inter Probable XI (3-5-2): Sommer; Pavard, De Vrij, Bastoni; Dumfries, Zielinski, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Carlos Augusto; Taremi, Arnautovic
Red Star Probable XI (4-2-3-1): Ilic; Seol, Drkusic, Dijga, Rodic; Elsnik, Krunic; Olayinka, Ivanic, Milson; Bruno Duarte
