Channing Tatum thrilled fans with a surprise appearance at Magic Mike Live in London, returning to his roots in a moment that lit up social media.
The 44-year-old actor, best known as the title character in the Magic Mike films, took to the stage on Saturday to greet the audience and even showed off his moves at one point.
Though he stayed covered up in a black turtleneck and baggy trousers, Tatum proved he hasn’t lost his signature moves, much to the delight of the crowd.
Before his Hollywood stardom, the star spent eight months as a stripper in Florida, an experience that inspired the Magic Mike movies. Following the films’ success, he created and directed the live stage show, which debuted in London’s Leicester Square in 2018.
The official Magic Mike Live London TikTok account shared a video of the surprise visit, capturing the excitement of the audience as they witnessed the star take centre stage.
They wrote in the caption: “Daddy’s home @Channing Tatum dropped in for a surprise visit,” alongside fire emojis.
After posting the video, fans commented in their droves sharing their excitement about the Hollywood star being in London.
One penned: “Channing Tatum at the magic mike show in London got me SCREAMING.”
“How come Channing Tatum went to a Magic Mike show, danced, AND I WASN’T THERE TO SEE HIM?!??!?” another wrote.
A third commented: “Channing Tatum was at the magic Mike show in London Ln????” while another echoed their sentiment, “Channing was at magic mike london last night ffs.”
Tatum’s appearance in the capital comes after it was reported that he split from fiancée Zoë Kravitz in October.
Sources confirmed to People that Tatum and 35-year-old The Batman actress had gone their separate ways, having first been linked in 2021.
The Hollywood pair first crossed paths on the set of Blink Twice, Kravitz’s directorial debut, and began dating soon after.
The couple announced their engagement last October, and they were candid about their relationship during the 2024 press tour for Blink Twice, which premiered in August.
At the time, Kravitz expressed her hope about collaborating with Tatum again, telling People: “I hope so. I think that art is our love language.
“We love talking about it, experiencing it, and supporting each other.”
Both Tatum and Kravitz have been married before. The Magic Mike star tied the knot with Step Up co-star Jenna Dewan in 2009 after meeting on the set of the 2006 hit film.
The couple welcomed their daughter, Everly, in 2013 but separated in April 2018. He was later romantically linked to singer Jessie J before meeting Kravitz.
The High Fidelity star, known for her role in Big Little Lies, had been single since filing for divorce from actor Karl Glusman in December 2020.
