An online charity auction is happening in support of the YMCA in Kelowna.
Until July 26, dozens of prizes are up for bid as part of the Wilson M. Beck Charity Golf Tournament, including golf packages, dining experiences, vacations, fishing gear and more.
Fundraising efforts kick off at the Kelowna Golf and Country Club for the 14th annual WMB charity golf tournament, with all proceeds going directly to the YMCA of Southern Interior BC.
The golf tournament itself will take place from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. on July 22 and will include 144 golfers coming together for a day of fun and impact.
“This is one of our favourite events. It’s incredibly humbling to know you are helping provide opportunities that will make someone’s life better and set them up for success, especially children and youth in our community,” said Steven Pavelich, senior partner of Wilson M. Beck Insurance Services Inc.
“Our team always feels a great sense of pride partnering with the Y. Our intention has always been to work closely with a charity who we could really embrace, one that shares our values of caring for and protecting those less fortunate. We look forward to this event every year.”
With a full roster for the tournament, the charity event is closed to sign-up for participation, but people are encouraged to bid on prizes and help raise funds for families in need.
