Toronto Raptors forward Chris Boucher is hosting a fundraising event called “A Night of Laughter”, an exclusive comedy evening featuring Chris Redd, star comedian from Saturday Night Live. It takes place on October 4th at 8pm.
The event will feature a live comedy performance by Chris Redd, a gourmet three-course meal, dessert, and the opportunity to spend the evening alongside celebrities and professional athletes. Several of Chris Boucher’s Toronto Raptors teammates are expected to attend, adding to the star-studded atmosphere.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Chris Boucher’s SlimmDuck Foundation, a charity dedicated to providing youth in underserved communities across Canada – particularly in Montreal and Toronto – with access to life-changing educational and athletic opportunities. Through his foundation, Boucher aims to inspire the next generation and equip them with the tools to reach their full potential both on and off the court.
Commenting on the event, Chris Boucher said in an official press release, “I’m excited about the opportunity to gather in my hometown of Montreal. This night is about having fun, but more importantly, it’s about giving back to the community that shaped me. The SlimmDuck Foundation is my way of ensuring that youth and their families have even more opportunities than I had growing up.”
Highlighting his commitment to provide educational and athletic opportunities to youth in underserved communities, during the evening Chris Boucher will receive the Montreal Community Cares Pro-Athlete Community Engagement Award.
For the first time, the Toronto Raptors will hold their training camp in Montréal, leading up to the 10th edition of the NBA Canada Series. Chris Boucher and the Raptors will be in town as they prepare for their pre-season opener against the Washington Wizards on October 6, 2024.
