Donald Trump was in New Jersey on Sunday.

Later that afternoon, Republican Senator Mike Lee shared a video purportedly showing Trump at his Bedminster golf course.
“Gets shot Gets up the next day Goes golfing,” he captioned the video.
“The man has the energy of a dynamo. He’s undeterred by things that would rattle others for months. And apparently he’s got cat-like reflexes—or at least really good timing and luck. Sometimes we really need a man like that,” he added.
The clip quickly went viral, amassing over seven million views within six hours. However, Lee later clarified that the video was not from Sunday.
“Okay I’m now told this video was uploaded today but *not* taken today. My bad! He’s still getting up and going to Milwaukee for the Republican National Convention!” he wrote.
Amid this, a screenshot of a Reddit post surfaced, where a man claiming to be a cart attendant at Trump Bedminster shared his experience of seeing Trump at the golf course.
“I’m a cart boy at Trump Bedminster, where Trump played today (just about 16 hours after getting nearly assassinated). He was in high spirits, which was great. Took time to chat with a lot of the staff. Allowed us to follow him for a bit. There was a decently big group with him. Anyway, I was able to watch him putt on the 9th green. He had about a 20 footer, with probably 2 feet of break. Sure enough, he drains it and goes ‘Difference between me and the shooter is that I don’t miss!’ Legend,” he allegedly wrote on Reddit.
This sparked a debate on social media about whether Trump played golf on Sunday.
“Not sure why so many people are posting posts saying President Trump played golf today, but I can 100% confirm he didn’t play golf today. Anyone saying that he did is pushing misinformation. Donald Trump flew to Milwaukee today from New Jersey and it was raining in New Jersey. The videos of him on the golf course are old,” she wrote on X.
POLITICO confirmed that Trump National Golf Club Bedminster was closed to its members on Sunday, though supporters did gather outside the golf course to show their support. Trump subsequently flew to Milwaukee to attend the Republican National Convention.
