Dua Lipa is reported to have got engaged to her boyfriend Callum Turner over the Christmas period.
The 29-year-old singer, who has been dating the British actor for over a year, “couldn’t be happier” to end the year on such a high, it has been claimed.
Although the Levitating popstar is yet to publicly confirm the news, those close to the artist have said the couple are besotted.
“Dua and Callum are so in love and know this is forever,” an insider told the Sun.
“They are engaged and couldn’t be happier. Dua has had one of the best years of her career professionally and this is the cherry on the cake.”
The source continued: “Callum is such a solid support for Dua and they make a wonderful couple. Their family and friends are so happy. It’s been an amazing Christmas for them.”
According to the report, the newly engaged couple are planning to celebrate New Year’s Eve together, alongside their loved ones.
A representative for Dua Lipa has been approached by The Standard for comment.
News of her engagement also came shortly after she posted an image on social media post where the musician appeared to don a large ring on her engagement finger.
In the Instagram picture, the singer donned a pair of red reindeer antlers and a dark brown jacket while sneakily showing off a collection of rings on her fingers.
She captioned the post: “home for the holidays ❣️ sending you all so much love.”
It is understood that Dua Lipa and Turner have been dating since at least January 2023, when the couple first sparked rumours after being spotted together on multiple occasions.
While they have kept a relatively low profile since, reports have suggested that the couple have gone from strength to strength throughout this year.
Dua Lipa had previously admitted that it was difficult to date as someone in the public eye, and wasn’t always straightforward when meeting potential love interests.
Speaking to Rolling Stone this summer, she explained: “Dating, I think overall, is just a little confusing.”
“It’s either through friends of friends or people you trust where you can meet new people because [dating] is not really so straightforward when you are, I guess, a public person.”
