Congratulations are in order for Eddie Murphy and Paige Butcher — the two are officially married!
The Beverly Hills Cop star, 63, and the Australian model, 44, got hitched Tuesday on the Caribbean island of Anguilla, according to PEOPLE. The couple reportedly had “a small private ceremony in front of family and close friends,” with Butcher wearing a lace corseted wedding dress by Mira Zwillinger and Murphy donning a white Brioni suit.
Murphy and Butcher started dating in 2012 and got engaged in 2018. They welcomed their first child together, Izzy, in May 2016. Murphy proposed while Butcher was pregnant with their second child, Max (who would later be born in November 2018).
Representatives for Murphy didn’t respond to Entertainment Weekly‘s request for comment Friday.
The nuptials came on the heels of Murphy wrapping up extensive press for his latest film, Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, which just hit Netflix last week. The film, which is the fourth installment of the Beverly Hills Cop franchise, sees the return of longtime stars Murphy, Judge Reinhold, John Ashton, Paul Reiser, and Bronson Pinchot, while also bringing in newcomers Kevin Bacon and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
News of Murphy and Butcher’s wedding likely won’t come as a surprise to his costar Reinhold, who recently gushed to PEOPLE, “[Eddie’s] crazy about his kids and his family. He’s a family guy at heart. Truly is. He really is.”
Ahead of tying the knot, Murphy and Butcher stepped out together during the Axel F premiere in Los Angeles on June 20, though the two didn’t mention their forthcoming wedding plans.
