Environment Canada has issued a winter weather travel advisory for Hamilton, the Niagara Region, Brantford and Burlington. 

The weather agency says snow will fall “with accumulations of two to four cm” and that there will be reduced visibility at times in the snow.

This is all happening, the weather agency says, because of a low pressure system that is expected to bring snow as early as this morning that is expected to taper off this evening.

That means divers “should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly.”

Environment Canada says it’s better to avoid travel if possible. If you can’t do that, “take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.”

Parts of Ontario still digging out from a major weekend storm over the weekend were also expected to get another dump of snow starting Tuesday evening.

An Environment Canada weather advisory for Bracebridge and Gravenhurst in Muskoka says lake effect snow may move through the region Tuesday evening, reducing visibility and bringing a few centimetres of accumulation.
