Devante makes his Jets debut tonight, but let’s be real Frank, this didn’t go the way Jets fans hoped the Jets still take the L. Pittsburgh gets a big win where frankly all of a sudden everything clicked for the Steelers and the Jets offense still look inept and lost, you know, and, and I hate to, to bring this to the 10,000 ft view right away, but there’s a reason the Jets are the Jets and they have the longest playoff drought in American sports.
There’s a reason the Steelers are the Steelers and they don’t have losing seasons under Mike Tomlin and you can kind of see that all encapsulated tonight or even within the past week.
Let, let’s say that because the Jets, they go to two and four.
What do they do?
They tried a third round pick for an aging receiver.
Ok, great, good for you.
And then they come out and they look like disabled Jets sloppy and bad.
I don’t believe they scored in the second half.
Just a, a team that has not been right all season.
And instead of recognizing that they just keep throwing, throwing assets at the problem and thinking it’s gonna turn around.
They’re, they’re getting, they’re just digging this deeper and deeper.
It’s a bad football team.
I don’t know how they’re this bad.
I really don’t.
It’s like they’re getting so little out of their talent this year.
It’s not a bunch of major injuries or anything like the 49er.
This is just a bad football team.
I, I’ve been a loss to really explain how the Jets are this bad.
They, they got boat raced by the Steelers tonight.
Russell Wilson.
Uh, uh, you know, basically hasn’t played, hasn’t played well in years, but hasn’t played, period this year comes in and, and looks like Seattle Rush.
Right?
Like it’s, and, and a lot of that has to do with the Jets just being terrible for me.
I’m gonna double down on what I said when the trade happened.
The reason I love Demari Cooper to the Bills compared to Devante Adams to the Jets is that the Bills had a glaring need.
To me, the Jets had what was supposed to be a wide receiver, one just weren’t utilizing them.
So sure you get more weapons.
But what belief should we have that you’ll utilize those weapons to the fullest?
And what did we see today?
I mean, if the conversation was gonna be devote, I think, let’s have some realistic expectations.
He’s only been there a few days, but in the second half they didn’t really dial up anything that was made to get the ball to devote just to see what happens.
And then when they tried to get the ball into Garrett Wilson, it still looks lost.
There’s timing issues, there’s connection issues, there’s communication issues.
All of these things that we saw when Garrett Wilson was wide receiver, one supposedly gonna be fixed by making one b uh it just, it, it feels out of sync.
