Yahoo Sports fantasy analyst Matt Harmon explains why the Falcons running back is worth a last-minute grab this week.
Yeah, I mean, look, it’s kind of ridiculous that Tyler Algier is only roster in 39% of Yahoo Leagues because we know that if anything ever happened to Bijon Robinson, he would immediately launch up to running back one territory.
But it’s also kind of crazy because you can play this guy at least as, uh, what the heck flex.
I mean, he has been and this is not hyperbole.
He has been one of the most effective running backs in the NFL on a per touch basis among run backs with 50 plus carries on the season.
According to true media, Tyler Alz ranks sixth in epa per rush behind both lions behind both lions running backs and Derek Henry, he leads the NFL in rushing success rate.
He’s one of the most efficient backs just again per touch in the NFL.
Him and David Montgomery are the only line are the only running backs with the success rate north of 50.
And I keep bringing up David Montgomery because I feel like just like Dave Montgomery, he is gonna be limiting the ceiling of a 2023 1st round running back.
So if you need help at the running back position and hey, who doesn’t?
And Algier is out there in so many leagues, you can probably pick him up and start him, especially in a potentially high scoring matchup with the Seattle Seahawks in this game.
