Berlin Fashion Week has officially begun. After wrapping up the menswear season in Milan and Paris, fashion crowds have fled to Germany for more epic runway shows. While closing Paris Fashion Week with a solemn collection in January, Berlin-based label GmbH returns to its home ground for Spring/Summer 2025.
GmbH is the buzziest name on schedule, channeling darkened heroics under Berlin’s summer downpours. Co-founders Serhat Işık and Benjamin Huseby ignited the first afternoon of SS25 by opening an academic dystopia packed with manipulative silhouettes and grandiose miniatures. GmbH collaborated with traditional Middle Eastern musicians to fill the showcase with banging drum sets, seeing the brand host its homecoming on the rooftop of the Tempodrom performance center in central Berlin.
SS25 saw GmbH shine through a contemporary lens, portraying darkened moods that unraveled across deconstructed co-ed looks. The German label remixed athletic attire with moody academic uniforms with pure GmbH styling, seeing striped running tops and tasseled short-shorts rush through the first look with determination. Next, dismantled dresses blew against the rain with a dramatized edge, while broad-shouldered polo shirts and slashed dress shorts boasted “Love & Justice” school logos. Cropped military jackets donned double-layered collars and rounded chest pockets while shimmering textiles shined on warped bras and manipulated hemlines. Elsewhere, branded speedos were tied together with printed bows for an unexpected surprise, followed by asymmetrical hoodies and hooded tailoring complete with a mysterious edge.
