Micah Richards says the early signs from Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United side are “good,” after the Portuguese’s first defeat as head coach was inflicted on him by Arsenal on Wednesday.
Speaking on Match of the Day after United’s 2-0 loss at the home of the Gunners, Richards said: “I saw good signs today, especially in the first half. But for 90 minutes they need a little bit more. The summer can’t come soon enough for him.”
Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown agreed with Richards, but says there as still pieces missing for Amorim’s side.
“They definitely look better but they didn’t create enough,” he added.
“The first stage is good, stopping Arsenal, but they need to do the other bit better.”
