The three-day event boasts LIV’s usual $25 million purse, $20 million for individual shares, and $5 million for team shares. However, fans who missed booking the tickets for this iconic course and event don’t have to worry. On June 26, LIV Golf faced a setback when their streaming partner, Caffeine TV, decided to shut down. “We’re at the point where we are still not quite profitable, so we’ve made the decision to end the service as of June 26th as we figure out our next steps.” The two collaborated in February this year to help LIV with its broadcasting shortcomings with the CW Network. However, the departure of Caffeine TV did not have the negative impact many anticipated, as LIV Golf’s reputation and brand strength remained intact.

A significant reason for this resilience is the presence of high-profile golfers like Bryson DeChambeau. The newly crowned US Open champ and other prominent LIV golfers such as Garcia had been successful in drawing larger crowds, as evidenced by the record-breaking attendance at The Grove in Nashville. Throughout three days, DeChambeau’s participation helped attract a remarkable 40,000 fans, demonstrating the continued appeal and growing popularity of LIV Golf events. Even at the qualifier of The Open which he failed to succeed at, the Spaniard attracted fans to the greens, which caused a slowplay issue in his round. But this goes to show that LIV Golf’s popularity could be on the rise!
As fans gear up for another thrilling event, they can catch all the action from anywhere in the world, thanks to LIV’s extensive streaming schedule and options. Share your thoughts on LIV’s streaming strategy in the comments section below.
