Informed Patriot , who ran third in the July 6 Indiana Derby (G3), has been supplemented to the July 8 Fasig-Tipton July Selected Horses of Racing Age sale. He is cataloged as hip 523 with Taylor Made Sales Agency.
The 3-year-old son of Hard Spun earned his first graded blacktype in last year’s Street Sense Stakes (G3) at Churchill Downs, then captured the Bathhouse Row Stakes at Oaklawn Park in April. Won or placed in six of 10 starts to date with earnings of nearly $350,000, Informed Patriot has raced exclusively in stakes company since placing in the Jan. 1 Smarty Jones Stakes.
Informed Patriot is also a full brother to Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile (G1) victor Spun to Run out of Yawkey Way, who is six-for-six winners from runners, four of them blacktype stakes horses.
Informed Patriot will be available for inspection Monday at Barn 12.
“Informed Patriot is an exciting addition to the catalog,” said Fasig-Tipton President Boyd Browning. “He’s a proven stakes horse with plenty of opportunities available to him this summer and fall in addition to being a full brother to a grade 1 winner.”
The July Selected Horses of Racing Age Sale will take place Monday beginning at 3 p.m. ET. On the following day—July 9—Fasig-Tipton will conduct The July Sale of Selected Yearlings beginning at 10 a.m.
Online bidding and phone bidding will be available for all sales.
