With the Invictus Games running until February 16, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan made sure to celebrate Valentine’s Day early ahead of Meghan’s scheduled departure from Canada.
On Monday, the Sussexes enjoyed a romantic evening together by spending over two hours at Il Caminetto, an Italian restaurant located in Whistler, according to a report from Town and Country. They were accompanied by singer Michael Bublé, who performed at the Invictus Games’s Whistler Welcome Celebration event, and his wife, Luisana Lopilato.
For the intimate double date, Meghan nodded to the romantic holiday with her accessories. Town and Country noted that the duchess rewore a pair of diamond earrings from Maya Brenner, which Harry had gifted last Valentine’s Day. The luxury jeweler has a special connection to the couple; back in December 2016, a month after Kensington Palace confirmed their relationship, Meghan was photographed wearing a Maya Brenner necklace with “H” and “M” initial charms attached. As for the rest of Meghan’s date night look, she swapped her snow gear for a Carolina Herrera cape and a pair of her trusted Aquazzura pumps.
After spending three days at the Invictus Games, Meghan is now back home in California with the couple’s two kids, five-year-old Prince Archie and three-year-old Princess Lilibet. Meghan’s early departure from the sporting event was pre-arranged, according to People.
“It’s incredible to be back in Canada. Canada couldn’t be more appropriate to host the first Winter Games. Everyone is so excited,” Harry said in a recent interview with People. “To have my wife here supporting me is amazing. I love that she’s by my side. It’s such an important piece to this whole adventure.”
