Justin Fields is now the QB six on the season.
In week four, he had a season high 42 drop backs.
He had 10 for 55 and two touchdowns.
As a rusher worth noting according to fantasy points, stated that four for 16 and the two touchdowns came on scrambles.
So some of the designed runs were pretty efficient plays for the Steelers, which I think was good to see 7.95 adjusted net yards per attempt was seventh best among quarterbacks in week four.
this also coincided with a big week from George Pickens third among all pass catchers with 100 and 58 air yards.
I know they lost the game.
Sal I know that Justin Fields wasn’t perfect.
He lost, uh, he, he had two, took three sacks that were on the fault of the quarterback.
Um, he, he’s always gonna have mistakes, things like that.
He’s not a perfect player, but I, I’m hoping that the Steelers continue to unleash fields a little more.
I think that even though they lost this game, it wasn’t totally his fault.
They lost it or anything like that.
I think they’ll continue to sort of let him off the leash a little bit here.
I feel like fields right now is, is slowly creeping into just kind of an every week, start at, at quarterback.
And I think George Pickens remains a player that there is more meat on the bone in terms of his fantasy season.
The rest of the way when week one came up, I thought he was a guy that you had to just go up and pick up.
Now, I think after this performance, he’s probably gonna get picked up in a ton of leagues, but this is a guy in Justin Fields that look, he had the great matchup against the Colts.
We saw Caleb Williams and all the pass catchers there go off in week three, but that’s exactly what you’re supposed to do and these good matchups take advantage of it and he did it in the biggest way and now you’re getting a situation in week four.
He comes into it.
The backfield’s banged up.
Jalen Warren ends up being out.
Cordell Patterson.
He gets injured after looking nice on nine snaps.
Naji Harris 13 carries 19 yards.
So, yeah, dialing up these designed runs and getting them to work was probably a priority for Arthur Smith.
And we also saw fields you’re talking about just the throwing.
Yeah, I think it’s taking steps forward in this game, specifically big throws middle of the field downfield as well.
It’s encouraging that in a new situation, like he looks like a totally different player, offensive line is going to help that for sure.
He’s definitely not losing this job.
Three and one right now, he’s not making disastrous plays, uh, intercept passes nonstop, which would be the reason he would lose the job at least right now.
So, yeah, for Fantasy week in and week out, especially in the bi weeks, um, a top 10 quarterback and I don’t really see that changing if this mobility keeps up.
