The Jets are awaiting the MRI results on Morgan Moses‘ knee after he exited Thursday’s win over the Patriots.
But head coach Robert Saleh said on Friday morning that the team feels “decent” about Moses’ prognosis.
Specifically, Saleh said the Jets don’t feel the injury is season-ending.
Moses’ injury occurred in the third quarter on Thursday.
On the play, Aaron Rodgers dropped back to pass, but fellow lineman Tyron Smith whiffed on his assignment, allowing Patriots linebacker Josh Uche to get to the quarterback for a sack. Moses was rolled from behind on the play.
The 33-year-old writhed in pain but eventually walked to the sidelines under his own power. After heading into the blue tent, Moses walked to the locker room. He was listed as questionable before being downgraded to out with the knee injury.
Jets first-round pick Olu Fashanu finished the game in place of Moses.
Moses has been an iron man for Washington, the Jets and Baltimore, missing just three games over the last three seasons. He’s played in at least 16 games in eight of his 10 seasons entering this one.
