Esponda explains how the Summit is not just a trade show, but a curated gathering of the people and companies who participate to make the show the most meaningful for buyers and attendees.
Kirk and Esponda speak about opening up the Eastern Market of Canada to offer more connectivity, and keep the destination top of mind in the region to allow travellers to experience authentic Mexico, especially by way of its culinary scene.
“We are the number one region in Mexico that produces organic vegetables and fruit, everything is for local consumption; we don’t export,” Esponda tells Kirk. “We have sustainable fishing and farming, so the combination and innovation of the chefs really makes our culinary scene unparalled.”
Esponda says agents need to highlight a few points about Los Cabos that makes it different than other locations; one being it’s a destination to get out and explore versus relaxing in your room.
