Yahoo Sports fantasy analyst Tera Roberts explains why the Raiders tight end is worth a start.
I am giving you Amir Abdullah, and before you look at me like I’m crazy, hear me out on that.
I would rather play Amir Abdullah over Alexander Madison this week.
The Vegas backfield should theoretically go back to Alexander Madison with sincere McCormick out, but what is Madison as a lead back actually worth?
He has averaged a mere 3.3 yards per carry, some of the worst advanced metrics of any running back in the league.
The real value here in this Vegas backfield is actually in who is catching the ball.
And while Madison has been used as a receiver in the past, Amir Abdullah is just simply better as a receiving threat here, and he’s been thriving recently.
He actually has the higher upside in terms of play this week and you can realistically get 10 fantasy points out of him fairly easily in full PPR if you have to do it, if you have to turn to the Vegas backfield, it’s Amir Abdulla that I am the most interested in here.
