This was the game we were geeked up about.
This was the biggest game really of the regular season, the last game of the regular season to decide the number one seed in the whole NFC and to decide the NFC champion between 214 win teams and it looks like the Lions are gonna now go 15-2.
The Vikings are driving right now, but I mean the Lions just took took the reins of this.
I mean, they really, Aaron Glenn bringing pressure the entire day, entire night against Sam Darnold, you could feel it, like that was really felt.
Like the story of the game was Sam Darnold feeling pressured, feeling tight against this Lions defense, and that was the game.
Darnold was missing throws.
Ameek Robinson was taking it to Justin Jefferson, ton of man coverage, ton of pressure.
Um, and then on the other side of the lines, Jamir Gibbs went up for a bunch of yards, 4 touchdowns, a nice little super fe up for him.
Uh, the Lions’ clenching home field is huge.
Also, if you just heard how freaking loud Ford Field was, that that’s huge, and you get Jare off in a dome, guaranteed the rest of the season.
I really thought that the Lions’ defense played their tails off tonight.
They took the fight to the Vikings, took the fight to Sam Darnold, tons of blitzing, tons of pressure, ton of man coverage.
They pressured him on.
20 to 42 dropbacks, 60% pressure rate when they didn’t blitz.
Um, you got the red zone, you got Fort Downs.
And it’s kind of disappointing for the Vikings because there was a point where they had run, well, like 14 plays like within range of the goal line and they came away with the field goal in that set.
Like it was just kind of bizarre to see um.
How out of sync they look.
Sam was way off of his game.
Um, and I felt a little bad for him to a degree, because like, man, this is the last game of the season.
We all know what this offseason means for you after the season that you’ve had.
Island game, biggest game of the season, and just kind of crapped his pants.
