JEHANGEER (4.55 Thirsk, nap)
Kevin Ryan’s hope finished last season with an excellent third in a Listed contest at York over this trip. He was thrown into a hot handicap at Newmarket for his comeback and more than held his own in coming home third. He’s been gelded and had a wind op since then and there’s a lot more to come.
THE CRAFTY MOLE (2.45 Thirsk, nb)
He has won his past three outings over this trip and had more than three lengths in hand at Yarmouth just five days ago. He is back under Danny Tudhope carrying a 6lb penalty and looks hard to beat.
MR WAGYU (7.25 Epsom, treble)
He should be much too good on this drop in class. He may be nine now but has still looked sharp this season with close-up efforts in good company at Epsom and York. He was right on the premises at Ripon last time and his liking for this track is a major plus.
CALAFRIO (5.25 Thirsk, Lucky 15)
She was beaten in a head-bobber over course and distance last week. She is still off a basement mark and her rider’s 3lb claim only adds to his chances.
