Miss Wicked (Mcwicked) earned her third stakes win of the harness racing season as she dominated the field in The Maritimer for three-year-old pacing fillies at Connell Park Raceway on Saturday (Sep. 21).
Mark Bradley, in his first drive with the filly, sent her straight to the top from post three and rated her to :28.3, :58.4, and 1:27.4 fractions. She left the field behind as she rounded the final turn, soaring to a five-length victory in 1:57. Fern Hill Indigo (Brodie MacPhee) finished second, followed by Starship Beauty (Mark Haig).

Miss Wicked is five-for-11 this season with wins in the Frank and Beth Stanfield Memorial and the Carl and Marg Mackenzie Memorial, along with Saturday’s score. Joseph Baxter trains the filly, who is now six-for-16 lifetime with a bankroll of $58,176. Blaine Thibeau of Kingston bred and owns her.
Press Time (Sportswriter) won the afternoon’s Winners-Over, wiring the four-horse field in 1:56 for his fourth straight top class victory. Averil Hunter conditions the gelding for Zachary Cougle of Woodstock. The seven-year-old has amassed 20 career wins and $107,954 in earnings from 117 career starts.
The next card at Connell Park is set for Saturday, Sep. 28, its penultimate date of the season.
