Texas Super Kings had a flying start, courtesy of the 85-run explosive partnership between Faf du Plessis and Devon Conway. The latter continued his attack after the dismissal of his skipper but Aaron Hardie couldn’t find his rhythm. That resulted in a lack of boundaries in the middle phases and put them under pressure. Joshua Tromp, Milind Kumar, and Calvin Savage were dismissed in quick succession which put the responsibility on Marcus Stoinis and Dwayne Bravo. They too couldn’t find a lot of boundaries in the final 2 overs but made sure to rotate the strike. They got to 176 runs which is a bit less than they expected but if the bowlers come with a plan, then it might be a defendable total.
