Saskatchewan RCMP are searching for a missing 31-year-old woman from Meadow Lake, who they believe may have been assaulted and could still be in danger.
Ashley Desjarlais was last seen at a home north of Lloydminster, which sits on the Alberta-Saskatchewan border, around 1:15 a.m. CT on Saturday.
RCMP got a call shortly after from a person who reported her missing, and indicated Desjarlais may have been assaulted.
RCMP said in a Saturday news release they’re trying to confirm her safety and get her medical care if needed.
Police believe she may be in the presence of a man, and the pair may be travelling in a large, dark-coloured SUV, possibly a Dodge Durango.
Desjarlais is described as four feet 11 inches tall and about 145 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a grey tuque and has a large tattoo on her throat.
Anyone with information on Desjarlais’s whereabouts are asked to immediately contact RCMP at 310-7267 (RCMP). An anonymous tip can also be made to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
